Just a quick note for you movie buffs out there. We picked up Ratatouille the other day for the kiddo, and watched it last night as a family. Awwww.
Let me start by saying don’t waste your time with this one. It’s a waste of time, film and money. The story line is ludicrous. It’s about a rat who knows how to cook. So he controls some guy to help him get better at cooking. It’s ridiculous. The characters are paper thin, the plot is very predictable, and the language is hardly appropriate.
This is probably by far the worst movie I’ve ever seen – even for a Pixar film. I would not recommend anyone seeing this film. God, I wish I had that 120 minutes back. What I wouldn’t give for that time again. I could trim my hedges, work on my shed, look at some good porn on the internet… Wow.
Okay. Now in all seriousness, I feel like I have to be honest. But consider this the fine print. Nothing I just said about the movie is true. I just don’t want to admit that this was probably the best film I’ve seen all year. Good God, don’t walk – run. Go get yourself a copy. I laughed out loud probably a dozen or more times. Got a little teary-eyed at the end, got all tingly during the romantic parts, felt strangely attracted to Colette… Pixar really knows how to make a picture. Okay, nothing further. Carry on.
